EXETER, UK - Heavy rain during storms caused flooding in southern England that left at least one person dead.
A 21-year-old woman died after a large spruce tree fell on her tent and two other people were injured.
In Cornwell, people had to briefly evacuate their homes as flood water battered the city. Major highways and roads in southwest England closed due to the flooding.
Nearby in Exeter, a local river overflowed its banks. Despite the raging water, one canoe enthusiast ventured out to fight the torrents.
More rain was expected on Sunday in northern England and Scotland.
