University's boys soccer team, one of Northeast Ohio's best this fall, forfeited 10 of its 11 wins this season and a tie because an ineligible player - as defined by the Ohio High School Athletic Association - participated in those matches. The Preppers were allowed to continue to participate in tournament play.

Hathaway Brown's bid at a third-straight field hockey championship came to an end on Friday when the Blazers lost to Columbus Bishop Watterson, 1-0, in a state semifinal matchup on Friday.
William Cloud stepped down as Richmond Heights' football coach at the end of the Spartans' season, citing a desire to have more time to see his teenage sons play the sport. He'll continue to coach the school's girls basketball team.
Woodridge's boys cross country team won the Division II team state championship on Saturday at National Trail Raceway in Hebron. St. Vincent-St. Mary's girls cross country squad won its fourth consecutive Division II state title team championship. Several Northeast Ohio student-athletes placed as individuals. St. Thomas Aquinas senior Cory Gline placed second in the Division III boys race while St. Vincent-St. Mary senior Mick Iacofano finished atop the Division II individual leaderboard. St. Vincent-St. Mary freshman Rachel Iacofano finished second among all Division II girls runners.
