CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Police didn't have to go far in their effort to make an arrest in a home break-in.

Officers arrested a man in connection with a home burglary on Akron Peninsula Road after finding him sleeping in the homeowner's bed.

Police were called just after 4 a.m. by the homeowner. The homeowner fled the home and called for help after hearing someone trying to break through his side kitchen door.

Officers arrived to find the door smashed in and a search of the house found the suspect asleep.

The man woke up as officers attempted to arrest him and began to fight with police. Officers tasered the suspect as a result and took him into custody.

Police identify the man in custody as Jacob Parker, 22, of Akron.  He is charged with burglary.
