CLEVELAND -- Green Day has postponed their Jan. 30, 2013 concert date at the Wolstein Center.
The new date, which has not yet been determined, is expected to be in the spring of 2013.
Previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new, yet-to-be announced date.
This announcement comes in the light of frontman Billie Joe Armstrong's treatment for substance abuse, which started in late September after he had a meltdown on stage at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
"Obviously the timing for this isn't ideal, but Billie Joe's well-being is our main concern," Green Day's Mike Dirnt says in a press release. "We are happy to say that Billie Joe is doing well, and we want to thank you all for the outpouring of support and well wishes that we have received, and we can't wait to see you all again soon."
Green Day has also announced the release date of their new album to Dec. 11 from its original date of Jan. 15, 2013.
