FREMONT -- A twenty-year-old man is dead after a one-car crash Saturday night.
The Fremont Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a car accident on Township Road in Seneca County.
Around 3:30 a.m., the driver of the vehicle failed to yield at a stop sign, losing control and driving off the roadway. The vehicle hit a ditch before overturning onto its top and coming to a rest.
One man was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo with serious injuries, where he later passed away.
In the vehicle were three other passengers. It is not known if they were injured in the car accident.
Speed, consumption of alcoholic beverages and lack of a seat belt are believed to be factors involved in this crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Seneca County Sheriff's department, Bascom Fire and EMS and John's Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
