Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Danilo Gallinari dropped 18 points and pulled
six rebounds, Corey Brewer chipped in with 15, and the Denver Nuggets held off
the Golden State Warriors, 104-98, Monday in a preseason matchup at the Pepsi
Jordan Hamilton shot 3-for-6 on his 3-point attempts on his way to 11 points,
Andre Iguodala had 10 points and seven assists, and Ty Lawson scored eight to
go with five assists.
Timofey Mozgov scored 10 and pulled eight boards, Kenneth Faried had eight and
eight, and Kosta Koufos pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds to go with six
points for the Nuggets.
Stephen Curry shot 10-for-15 -- including three balls from behind the arc --
on his way to a game-high 25 points, and Klay Thompson dropped 21 points to go
with six rebounds.
David Lee had 15 points and Jarrett Jack had six points and a team-high five
assists for the Warriors.
Though the score was tied 86-86 heading into the fourth, the Nuggets built up
an 8-point lead with 5:48 left and held on down the stretch for the victory,
with Brewer netting nine points in the final quarter.
