PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP -- Deputies say a westbound minivan swerved off I-90 Thursday afternoon, drove through the median, then struck an eastbound car.
The Ohio State Patrol says the driver and the passenger in the minivan were killed at the site of the crash.
Sandra Fisher, 70, of Holland, N.Y., was driving a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan with Carl Fisher in the front seat. Deputies say she was westbound on I-90 about 2 p.m. when she drove off the left side of the road, then returned to the roadway.
She then drove off the road again, this time going through the median and entered the eastbound lanes. That's when the 28-year-old driver of a 2007 Dodge Ram struck the minivan.
Both Fishers had to be removed from the minivan by EMS using the Jaws of Life and were pronounced dead at the scene. They were both wearing their seatbelts.
The driver of the Dodge Ram was also wearing her seatbelt and was not injured.
