Highway patrol investigates Jackson Township hit-and-run crash

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Officials are looking for the suspect who ran from an accident after striking another car late Wednesday night in Jackson Township.

Dakota Schreffler, 17, of Clinton, was driving north on High Mill Avenue at 10:46 p.m. when a grey 2012 Chevy Cruze went through a stop sign headed west on Mount Pleasant Road and struck her car in the intersection.

Schreffler was taken to Akron General Hospital with minor injuries. She was later released.

The driver of the Cruze left the scene of the crash on foot.

The suspect has not been found and the crash remains under investigation.
