Fugitive of the Week said to be Lorain gang member

LORAIN -- The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Eric Echols.

Echols is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Lorain Police Department.

On May 7, a warrant was issued for Eric Echols for participating in a criminal gang.

 Echols is one of the 22 targeted members of a gang called MOB for Member of Bloods or Money over Bitches, 18 of which have recently been arrested.

The Lorain Police Department believes that the gang is responsible for at least nine of the last 12 murders in the city and a slew of other violent crimes that include home invasions, shootings, intimidation and drug trafficking.

Echols, 21, is black, stands about 6'01" and weighs 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He is believed to be hiding around the Lorain area. He was last seen in the 800th block of W. 18th Street in Lorain.
