The Black Keys may have skyrocketed to stardom, but the rock band hasn't forgotten their roots in Akron.
In a YouTube video posted on April 4, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney touted their love of Akron by discussing some of their favorite places to grub.
"I'd like to give a shout out to Swensons, the hamburger chain in Akron," Carney says in the video. "If we're in Akron and we need to eat a cheeseburger, it's gonna be from Swesons. If we need to eat a salad completely covered in cheese, it's gonna be from Luigi's."
The duo also makes some jabs at Hamburger Station in their short video.
"It is simultaneously the grossest restaurant you could ever imagine and the best restaurant," Carney says. "You feel equally sick and rewarded while you're eating the food."
The Black Keys recently performed at Quicken Loans Arena.
"I actually miss Akron now talking about it," Carney says at the end of the YouTube clip. "It is a really cool place with lots of great people."
