BRECKSVILLE -- Five candidates to succeed Bill Mason as Cuyahoga County Prosecutor are debating Wednesday night in Brecksville.
They will square off at the Brecksville Community Center.
Channel 3 Senior Political Correspondent Tom Beres will moderate the discussion.
The five candidates are lawyer James McDonnell, former Cleveland city law director Subodh Chandra, former Municipal Judge and Cleveland Law Director Robert Triozzi, former policewoman and assistant prosecutor Stephanie Hall and former assistant prosecutor and Common Pleas Judge Tim McGinty.
No Republicans are running. The primary vote is March 6.
The winner of the Democratic primary in this race will be the frontrunner and likely winner in any election in November if an Independent candidate runs.
There has not been a meaningful contested election for county prosecutor since 1957.
