INDEPENDENCE -- Mark Kvamme is the former venture capitalist who now serves as Ohio's Chief Investment Officer, overseeing the new Jobs Ohio Program.

Kvamme, staff and officials of Team NEO explained the state's new strategy and organization for job creation and retention.

The state is divided into six regions. In each, an organization will form a regional development strategy and be able to create deals with companies expanding or moving in.

Kvamme sat down for an exclusive interview with Channel 3's Tom Beres to explain Jobs Ohio and discuss its performance so far.

He gives a very optimistic assessment of Ohio's plans to seek and help businesses.

"There's a buzz that will become a roar...There's no rust in the belt anymore, it's about expanding industries...And the future's so bright, we've got to wear shades.." are just some of the upbeat remarks Kvamme makes in the interview.
