ROCKY RIVER -- Casey's Irish Imports in Rocky River began by Veronica Casey selling a few Irish items from her beauty salon.

But soon the hair business was cut and Casey's Irish Imports sells everything from caps and wraps to Irish Snaps.

Right now, the Celtic  jewelry is very "in" at the moment but the Claddagh ring is the most popular of all. You can find everything from Irish foodstuffs to Waterford crystal to Irish-infused Chief Wahoo merchandise.

Last weekened, was a weekend of fun at the Irish Festival at the Berea Fairgrounds. Local Irish-enthusiasts celebrated their culture with food, dance and a whole lot more.

That's why WKYC's Chris Tye spent some time with a local family, a proud West Side Irish family that makes a living by living their heritage.

In 1956, thousands of immigrants made their way to America. Their destinations, like their origins, were all unique.

But Cleveland became a magnet for the Irish and a huge number of them making their home here came from the northwest tip of Ireland, from County Mayo.
