PORT CLINTON -- One tragedy on a local highway to share.
A four-year-old girl is dead after a three car collision in Port Clinton.
The accident happened a quarter mile away from the daycare where the little girl was enrolled.
Caregivers are reaching out to the victim's family and community.
Four-year-old Jaylah Chaffin is remembered as a bright light in Tot's Spot Day Care where she spent her days.
Teacher Tiffany Fraley and other daycare workers are struggling with Jaylah's tragic death.
This spirited pre-schooler lost her life in a rollover accident just after her mother picked her up from the daycare Tuesday evening.
Witnesses say Jaylah 's mother Kimberly Chaffin slammed her vehicle into a pickup truck that turned in front of her on State Route 163.
Chaffin's Honda Civic rolled on its side and slammed into an oncoming car.
Four others involved in the accident including Jaylah's mother, were treated for injuries at area hospitals.
Today everything has been in slow motion.
"I did flower arrangements this morning and was crying. We were all crying this morning," Daycare teacher Tiffany Fraley said.
Kimberly Chaffin was treated and released from the hospital and the couple is staying at their parents' house.
Jaylah was the couple's only child.
The Ohio State Patrol is investigating.
