COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Police at Ohio State University are putting the campus community on alert after two daytime home invasion robberies in the area over the past month.
Police say a female student awoke late Wednesday morning to find two armed men aiming guns at her. Police say the men who had come in through a side window bound the student's hands and put her in a basement at the property. Police didn't say what was stolen.
The descriptions of the two men were different than those of two attackers in an Aug. 19 home invasion several blocks away. In that case, a student told police he and his roommate answered a knock, and two men with knives forced their way inside. The Columbus Dispatch reports $5,000 in electronic equipment was taken.
