TOLEDO-- Bowling Green State University's offensive-line coach has been put on administrative leave after being cited for drunken driven and driving on a suspended license soon after.
The Blade of Toledo reports that coach Bill Durkin was arrested in Bowling Green along Interstate 75 in the early morning hours of Aug. 24 and charged with driving under the influence and a lane violation.
About seven hours after being released, police records say that Durkin was driving northbound when another car ran a stop sign and hit him.
The other driver was cited for failure to yield. Durkin was cited for driving under a license suspension stemming from his earlier arrest.
It's unclear how long Durkin will be on leave. He was not at Bowling Green's 34-7 victory on Thursday.
