MILTON TOWNSHIP -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a car accident on State Route 585 that left a woman dead.
Around 9:30 p.m. Friday, a driver drifted onto the snow and ice-covered edge of the roadway on State Route 585 and lost control. He was struck by a northbound vehicle and came to a rest in a ditch.
A woman in the front passenger seat of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others were involved in the crash. They were trapped in the vehicle and emergency crews had to use rescue equipment for them to be removed.
They were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries.
Seat belts were in use by all involved in the crash.
