CLEVELAND -- Holiday travelers in parts of Ohio could face blowing and drifting snow after Christmas Day.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for counties in northwest and northeast Ohio beginning Wednesday morning into Thursday.
Forecasters say snow will spread across the area Wednesday morning, with heavier accumulations in the afternoon and evening. Snowfall could range between 6 and 10 inches.
Higher accumulations are expected near Lake Erie. Gusty winds of up to 40 mph could reduce visibility to near zero at times.
Forecasters have also issued a winter storm watch in effect Tuesday night for parts of central and southwestern Ohio. Travelers there could see a wintery mix of rain, sleet and 4 to 6 inches snow on Wednesday.
Winds could gust up to 30 mph.
