AKRON -- A judge says attorneys and others involved in a case about the sledgehammer killings of a New Franklin couple can't talk about it outside of court while the case against a suspect proceeds.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports the gag order from a Summit County judge was not requested by the prosecution or defense for 18-year-old Shawn Ford Jr.

Ford was charged with aggravated murder in the April deaths of 56-year-old attorney Jeffrey Schobert and his 59-year-old wife, Margaret, at their New Franklin home.

Ford's attorney had said he'd plead not guilty by reason of insanity.

Ford also is charged in an earlier, nonfatal assault of the couple's teenage daughter. Police say Ford dated the girl.

A 14-year-old boy also was charged in the Schoberts' deaths.
