AKRON -- Bond has been set at $1 million for the 21-year-old man accused of murdering a McDonald's employee earlier this month.

Johnnl Lewis faces charges of murder and aggravated robbery for the shooting death of 28-year-old John Lehman. Akron Police say he was arrested Tuesday after they brought him in for questioning.

It was around 11 p.m. April 6 when Lehman, a developmentally disabled man, was shot multiple times while taking out the trash at the McDonald's at 390 West Market Street.

Lehman, who worked at the restaurant for 10 years, later died at Akron General Medical Center.

Police say Lewis was attempting to rob the McDonalds through the back entrance when Lehman confronted him.

Authorities were offering a reward up to $10,000 for anybody with information leading to the identification or arrest of those responsible.

Court records show Lewis was out on bond during the time of the murder, awaiting trial for a September 2012 charge of felonious assault.
