Cleveland police hunt man who took $17k from store

CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Police asking the public to identify the man who robbed a store at 8:15 p.m. Jan. 21.

The man, carrying a silver handgun, entered "Roses" store at 3250 West 65th Street.

He immediately engaged a store employee in conversation, asking her for assistance in another part of the store. That's when the man produced the weapon and forced the employee at gunpoint to take him to the manager's office, where the suspect broke in the door and took $17,000.00 from the safe.

He ran out the store carrying the money in a white plastic garbage bag.
