WINDHAM VILLAGE -- A Portage County man was found dead at home on Thanksgiving.

Sheriff's deputies say Blake Wolfe's estranged wife is responsible.

Blake Wolfe found dead at his home in Windham Village yesterday afternoon. The Portage County Coroner says it's a homicide, caused by a fatal blow to the head.

Friday morning his wife Traci Wolfe and her friend Thomas Walters were arrested. The pair faces aggravated murder charges.

Lt. Gregory Johnson tells Channel 3 News that Blake and Traci had been separated, and were in the middle of a divorce.

"Blake was a peacemaker. Honestly, a peacemaker," said his first wife, Dusty Wolfe, who says she's also a friend. "He was all about the kids."

Wolfe had two children, five-year-old Lily and eight-year-old Landon.

"He was awesome. He was a good dad, and he was afraid," said Dusty.

Windham Police and Portage County sheriff's deputies are still investigating why Traci Wolfe might want him dead and just how Blake died.

Records show the couple had a history of domestic violence disputes.

Blake Wolfe had been arrested on domestic violence charges in the past and even served time.

However, Dusty Wolfe tells a different story.

"[Traci] was always threatening him. She's tried to hurt him many times," said Dusty. "And the cops wouldn't do anything for him."

They say Blake was always the victim.

"Blake Wolfe had no protection. I believe the Windham Police Department failed him and my kids and myself and this whole family," said Dusty. "They were right there when it was all done, but it was too late."

Police are holding past reports about violence between Blake and Traci as evidence as they piece together what happened.
