WILLOUGHBY HILLS -- Willoughby Hills police say an 18-year-old girl is considered a suspect in the stabbing death of her foster mother.
Police say they received a call just after 1 a.m. from a 13-year-old inside a home on Chagrin Drive.
The hysterical teen told dispatchers that her sister had a knife and was attacking her mother.
When police arrived they found the 18-year-old suspect covered in blood and holding a knife. Police detained her and took her to the hospital.
Police found the victim in a first-floor master bedroom with multiple stab wounds. EMS was unable to resuscitate the victim and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim is identified as Lisa Knoefel, 41 and is described as the 18-year-old's foster mother.
No motive was given.
