CLEVELAND -- A teenager was shot in the hip outside of the Cory Recreation Center in Cleveland Tuesday night.
The shooting was reported just before 6:30 p.m. near E. 105th Street and Grantwood Avenue.
The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. There is no update on his condition.
Police say the victim was arguing with several other young men inside the rec center. An off duty police officer working at the facility ordered the group to leave.
As the group was walking south on E. 105th, they were approached by three males on bicycles. The bike riders pulled out handguns and fired multiple shots at the group as they were walking.
Aside from the gunshot wound, the only other injury reported was another young man with a scraped knee.
It is not clear if the bike riders were involved in the argument from earlier, police said.
Police found multiple shell casings in the area.
