ZANESVILLE, Ohio -- Authorities in eastern Ohio are trying to determine what killed a 50-year-old man found on the sidewalk in front of his home.
The Muskingum County sheriff says the man's mother was leaving for work at about 7 a.m. Monday when she found him outside the home they share near Zanesville.
Authorities say the man didn't die of natural causes. The Columbus Dispatch reports that investigators are asking for the public's help in trying to figure out what the man had been doing and who he was with before his death.
They have not stated a cause, but say the case is being treated as a possible homicide.
