CLEVELAND -- One man was hospitalized early Thursday morning after being shot on Cleveland's east side, just down the street from where a triple shooting happened days earlier.
Police say he was shot in the abdomen between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. in the 10700 block of Lamontier Avenue, between East 102nd Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
The man was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in serious condition.
Early stages of the investigation point to retaliation as a possible motive.
There is no word on any suspects.
Late Monday night, three people were shot just a block and a half away, at East 97th Street and Lamontier Avenue. That shooting investigation is still underway.
