Daniel Calhoon supports hands-free technology.
"So I never have to touch my phone. It can just sit next to me," Calhoon said.
Calhoon is a member of the Geek Squad at Best Buy, where he helps customers pick out the best device to meet their needs.
While no gadget is totally distraction free, he says the latest technology helps drivers focus their attention on the road.
"Most people come in for headsets, because they're more portable," Calhoon said.
Best Buy offers headsets, as well as devices that can be mounted inside vehicles. Service technicians on-site will install Bluetooth devices for free.
From noise cancellation products, to items that will read text messages out loud, experts say the technology is only getting better, and the prices are getting lower.
"This one will actually detect the vibrations in your jaw, so it more easily understands what you are saying," Calhoon said.
In Ohio, talking on the phone or texting while driving is not against state law, so Channel 3 News is asking everyone to join us in a pledge to "Hang Up and Drive."
