AKRON -- Police tell Channel 3 that the Akron man wanted for hitting his girlfriend and killing her kitten, then throwing the dead kitten at her, has turned himself in.
Akron police say Patrick M. Palmer, 28, of Akron, turned himself in late Monday and is now in the Summit County Jail. He is scheduled for arraignment in Akron Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Wednesday (July 10).
He was wanted for domestic violence with a previous conviction, criminal damaging and cruelty to animals.

Just about 1 p.m. July 4, Palmer was involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. Palmer then kicked, choked and shoved her against an SUV parked in the driveway.
Then Palmer grabbed a kitten in the front yard, broke the kitten's neck, then threw the kitten at his girlfriend.
Palmer then left before police officers arrived.
