Akron: Marijuana operation busted

AKRON -- Authorities have dismantled a marijuana-growing operating at a home in the 900 block of Johnson Street.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office says 68 marijuana plants, approximately six pounds of marijuana, lamps, filters, two handguns and two shotguns were discovered during a search of the residence on Tuesday.

Summit County Children's Services was also notified of a 4-year-old child located at the home.

Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
