AKRON-- Detectives arrested William B. Dawson, 21, of Akron, for felonious assault and participating in a criminal gang.

Dawson was charged in the Jan. 24 shooting of Wylene Edwards, 59.

Edwards flashed her lights to warn the men that she was behind them. The men walked off to the side of the road so she could pass.

After Edwards drove past the men, one of the men fired several shots at her vehicle. One bullet penetrated the vehicle and struck her in the back in the upper right shoulder.
