BATH -- Police received reports from two elderly residents Friday of a scam in the area.
Both residents were contacted by a man who claimed to be with a law enforcement agency and requested personal information from the residents.
He further used threats in an attempt to scare personal information from the residents. He would ask if there are weapons in the house and jewelty in the house.
If the residents don't give him the information, he gets aggressive, threatening to bring a search warrant to their house.
So far, two women in Bath Township have received the calls and similar incidents have happened in Fairlawn and Copley Township.
Police warn everyone not to give out any personal information over the telephone to any unverified sources.
