CANTON -- Police tell WKYC's Dave Summers that it's a HAZMAT situation at a Rowland Avenue home Thursday afternoon and the chemicals found are not for making bombs.
Earlier Thursday, the Canton police and fire departments and the Summit County Bomb Squad were called out to a home in the 900 block of Rowland Avenue.
Police say a neighbor looked in a basement window of a home and saw chemicals.
Several homes in the neighborhood were evacuated as a precaution.
The home's resident is not living in the home at this time.
HAZMAT is removing the chemicals.
