Akron: Same man hits two banks in two days?

AKRON -- Akron police believe the same man robbed a First Merit Bank Wednesday and a Charter One Bank on Tuesday.

Just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, the First Merit Bank at 2430 Wedgewood Drive was robbed.

Bank employees said the suspect entered the bank and approached the teller counter. The suspect told the teller, "Give me all of your money and no dye pack."

The teller handed the suspect an unreported amount of cash and the suspect fled to a car waiting outside for him.

The suspect has been identified and warrants signed on Robert E. Campbell Jr., 31, with a last known address of 1099 Reed Avenue.

Campbell is 5'06" tall, weighs 170 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on Robert E. Campbell Jr.'s whereabouts is asked to contact the Akron Police Department, Detective Bureau at (330) 375-2490.
