CLEVELAND -- Jury deliberations in the trial of the 16 Amish defendants in U.S. District Court in Cleveland ended with no verdict on Tuesday.
That was Day Three of deliberations. The jury will return at 9 a.m. Wednesday to continue deliberations.
Tuesday was Day Three of deliberations, after the jury deliberated for 8 hours on Thursday and again for 8 hours on Friday.
Court was not in session on Monday.
The 16 Amish defendants are charged with conspiracy in the five hair- and beard-cutting incidents between September and November last year against nine Amish victims.
Several defendants are accused in the incidents and Samuel Mullet Sr, the head of the breakaway clan based in Bergholz, Ohio, is also accused of destroying evidence and lying to the FBI.
