CLEVELAND -- Will it soon be illegal to talk on your cell while driving in Cleveland?
The Cleveland Safety Committee discussed some proposed new legislation today.
City Councilman Zack Reed introduced the proposal back in April.
Basically, it would require you to use a hands-free device, to talk on the phone.
It's already illegal to text and drive in Cleveland. The state law also just took effect.
If this law passes, Cleveland would join other communities like Brooklyn, Beachwood, and North Olmsted which already ban drivers from talking and texting on cell phones.
