President Barack Obama's surprise statement of support for gay marriage injects a major issue into the Presidential campaign.

It happens just as gay marriage supporters launch a petition drive to get the issue on the ballot next year and as Cleveland prepares for the 2014 Gay Games.

What will the impact of the President's announcement have on the race in Ohio? Which groups will it help or hurt him with?

Monday will be an historic day as Ohio's first casino opens in Cleveland. Can it live up to expectations? What should visitors expect? What will its impact be on Downtown Cleveland?

Four years ago, Mayor Frank Jackson was vilifying Goldman Sachs and 20 other Wall Street giants in a lawsuit, claiming they helped cause the devastation and suffering of Cleveland's foreclosure crisis.

Now he  and others at City Hall are gratefully accepting a $15 million commitment from them to help small businesses here.

One councilman called the gift "guilt money."

How should it be regarded in light of past actions?

Tom Beres discusses these issues with Channel 3 Political Analysts Mary Anne Sharkey and Dennis Eckart on this edition of Between the Lines.

Both have done consulting work for Dan Gilbert on political and media issues involving the casino.
