Fourteen-term Democratic Toledo Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur is pitted against Cleveland Congressman Dennis Kucinich in a battle for political survival.
It's because of the Republican-drawn redistricting plan that created a new narrow "snake-along-the-Lake " configuration that puts both Democrats in a new district running from Cleveland to Toledo.
Kucinich and Kaptur agree on most issues. Both supported the stimulus and healthcare plans.
But they have different views on the Davis Besse nuclear power plant, military funding, abortion rights and other issues. And they have different styles of leadership.
Kaptur sits on the powerful House Appropriations Committee.
Tom Beres and Plain Dealer columnist Joe Frolik question Kaptur on this edition of Between the Lines.
Congressman Kucinich will be on Feb. 26.
Cleveland businessman Graham Veysey is also running, criticizing both Congress members as being part of a system that is not working.
