High-profile Cuyahoga County corruption cases transferred to Akron

O'Malley was confirmed last week as an appellate judge in Washington D.C.

Lioi will also preside over the trials of other defendants who have pleaded not guilty, including Jerry Skuhrovec, Michael Gabor, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Steven Terry and former common pleas judge Bridget McCafferty, according to court records.

McCafferty is scheduled for a motion hearing at 10 a.m. Thursday. Terry is scheduled for trial starting May 9.

Lioi will also preside over the sentencing of several defendants who have pleaded guilty, including J. Kevin Kelley, Sandy Klimkowski, William Neiheiser, Joseph O'Malley and Daniel Weaver, according to court records.
