Charged on Aug. 6, 2009, Patel pleaded guilty on Sept. 9 to bribing former MetroHealth vice president of facilities and construction services John J. Carroll and Carroll's assistant, Thomas Greco Jr., from 1999 through 2007 in exchange for more than $51 million in construction contracts with the county hospital.
Patel, 44, of Independence, faces up to three years in prison.
Dooley, 57, of North Olmsted, was charged July 22, 2009, and pleaded guilty Sept. 9 to bribing a county employee in 2009 to obtain a better-paying job.
Federal officials, in the plea agreement with Dooley, state that Dooley paid a bribe to J. Kevin Kelley that was intended for Cuyahoga County Auditor Frank Russo to get a job in Russo's office back in 2002.
Dooley, who worked in the weights and measures department at the auditor's office, has also admitted that he bribed J. Kevin Kelley with $5,000 in January, 2009, also for a better-paying job with the Cleveland Metroparks. That Metroparks job never happened.
Dooley also admitted giving Russo money on other occasions.
Dooley faces two years in prison.
Carroll was charged Aug. 6, 2009, pleaded guilty Sept. 9, and is awaiting sentencing. He faces up to 11 years in prison.
Kelley was charged June 12, 2009, pleaded guilty on July 1, 2009, moved with his family to Florida, and is awaiting sentencing.
Russo has not been charged with any crime and denies any wrongdoing.
