NORRISTOWN, Pa. -- Prosecutors say a recently retired music professor at a Penn State branch campus outside Philadelphia exchanged explicit pictures with a 16-year-old girl from Spain.
The Montgomery County district attorney's office announced Friday that 65-year-old Stephen Stace of Oreland was charged after he took nude pictures of himself and used his work email at Penn State Abington to communicate with the girl.
Stace faces charges that include possession of child pornography, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.
Neither Stace nor his lawyer returned messages seeking comment. He retired in June.
Authorities say Stace's home computer contained photos of the girl topless and images of nude young males.
The charging documents say the investigation began with a tip in August from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
