BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Mitt Romney is showing no sign that he will cave in to the mounting pressure to release more of his tax returns.

The White House kept up that pressure today, with spokesman Jay Carney saying it's become an important tradition for presidential candidates to make their tax returns available.

But House Speaker John Boehner says President Barack Obama's criticism of Romney's career and his questions about Romney's taxes are meant to distract from the administration's handling of the economy.

Romney, campaigning in Ohio today, accused Obama of caring more about his own job security than about creating jobs for millions of unemployed Americans.

He said Obama in the past six months has held more than 100 fundraisers, and zero meetings with his jobs council.

An Obama spokesman says the president has "a lot on his plate," and continues to get advice from a lot of people about the economy.
