LEOLA, Pa. -- Police say a 56-year-old woman and her 22-year-old daughter were killed in south-central Pennsylvania, and they're seeking information about a man believed to have lived in their house.

The Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era reports that officers discovered the women's bodies at the house in Leola on Saturday afternoon.

Police did not say how the woman died. East Lampeter Township police identified them as Mona Jean Hess and her daughter Makenzie Lauren Hess. The Lancaster County coroner says autopsies will be performed Monday.

Police say in a statement that investigators are seeking information about 22-year-old Gary Charles Gerlach "so they can account for his well-being." They did not elaborate. Police say Gerlach may be driving a blue 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a Pennsylvania license plate of EVL-1083.
