Donna Yousef, who works for the City of Cleveland, was off ill, a city official told Channel 3 News. The hearing is re-scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday.
Yousef is under investigation by the city for her handling of a 9-1-1 call last month. She is accused of failing to pass on information from a caller, who said he saw his neighbor beat someone with a baseball bat and dump the body in the back of a pickup truck.
A 26-year-old Cleveland man has since told police that he beat an intruder, burned his body and disposed of the ashes on his father's property in eastern Denmark Township, according to an affidavit filed by a Cleveland detective.
John Maruschak, 25, remains missing. Alex Wulff and brother Aaron, 19, have been charged with kidnapping and felonious assault.
The Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office is still conducting tests to determine if the samples recovered from the Denmark Township site contain human remains. If the remains are found to be human, DNA tests will determine if they belong to Maruschak.
Results are expected back later this month.
