CLEVELAND -- Members of the Cuyahoga County Council are calling for the the county's inspector general to investigate questionable spending by a non-profit agency that educates Head Start pre-schoolers.

George Forbes is the chairman of the board for the Council of Greater Economic Opportunities in greater cleveland.

Forbes has refused to release records requested by Channel 3 News regarding executive junkets and purchases of iPads, among other things.

"It's pretty outrageous," said C. Ellen Connally, president of county council. "This money has to be spent for the purpose it was intended for and this money has to be spent for the education of our children."

Councilman Dan Brady called for the county inspector general to investigate. "It's this kind of thing that just destroys public confidence," said Brady.
