No bomb found after threat at Holy Name High School

PARMA HEIGHTS -- A spokesman with the Diocese of Cleveland said the bomb threat at Holy Name High School turned out to be false.

The school building in Parma Heights was evacuated Thursday morning.

Thursday afternoon, the Diocese released the following statement:

"On Thursday, October 17th at approximately 9 a.m., a threat was written on a bathroom wall. The threat was in reference to a bomb. The school's safety plan was immediately put into action and the building was evacuated."

"Parma Heights Police and Fire, as well as other law enforcement personnel, responded to Holy Name High School. Nothing suspicious was discovered. The Holy Name community is safe. The disruption of the day lasted approximately 120 minutes."

"The incident is under investigation by Parma Heights Police. Holy Name High School will conduct all after-school activities on Thursday, October 17th. Moving forward, the safety of our students, faculty, and staff remain the administration's top priority. Threats will always be taken seriously and reported immediately to authorities."
