PEPPER PIKE, Ohio -- A northeast Ohio college is reopening after a tornado touched down there last weekend and damaged several buildings.

Ursuline College in Pepper Pike planed to reopen Tuesday and continue preparing for the fall semester.

A tornado packing 110 mph winds hit the 100-acre campus early Saturday, collapsing a wall of the school's athletic center and damaging other buildings but causing no injuries.

The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer reports that the college is awaiting a ruling from structural engineers on the future of the athletic center, but is making plans to repair other buildings. Athletic facilities will be relocated.

Fall classes at the 1,500-student school about 13 miles east of Cleveland are scheduled to begin Aug. 19.
