WILLOUGHBY -- Four years ago, Willoughby South High School went on lockdown when a student fired a gun inside the school, and threatened to kill himself.
"I do think of it, and this bring it back," says Principal Paul Lombardo. Lombardo and two other administrators were able to talk the student out of killing himself and putting down his gun. This school knows how terrifying a gunman can be in a school.
All over our area, schools reviewed their security procedures, had extra police on patrol and had counselors standing by for students.
