Police investigate robbery of Cleveland Central Catholic students

CLEVELAND -- Police are investigating the armed robbery of two female students in the parking lot of Cleveland Central Catholic.

Police have released surveillance video in the incident in an effort to locate two suspects.

The victims told police they were approached by the two unknown men on October 16.  Although they tried to ignore the suspects, the students said the men continued to follow them.

According to a police report, the victims then stated the men pulled guns and held them each at gunpoint while they took their cell phones and headphones.

The suspects warned the students not to talk to anyone as they followed them to the school entrance.

The girls then went into the school office and called police.

Police were unable to the locate the suspects. No arrests have been made.

The Diocese released the following statement:

The Cleveland Central Catholic High School community has been made aware of a robbery incident involving two of their students. The care and well being of the students is being addressed.
