Conflicting reports have emerged about the condition of rapper Lil Wayne, formally known as Dwayne Carter, following multiple seizures.
Carter's Twitter account, @LilTunechi, may dispel the rumors as he recently tweeted, "I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love."
A person close to the superstar rapper's camp who asked for anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter confirmed to The Associated Press that Lil Wayne had a seizure.
The 30-year-old New Orleans rapper is one of the biggest stars of not only his genre but in all music. He's due to release his 10th album, "I Am Not a Human Being," on March 26.
Carter's condition was a popular topic on Twitter as well and was trending across the country.
TMZ reported Carter returned to Cedars-Sinai hospital following multiple seizures.
However, people close to the rapper took to Twitter reporting the rapper was recovering, including artists and producers with Young Money Entertainment, the label which Carter founded.
"Wayne is alive and well! We watching the Syracuse game...thanks for the prayers and concern..he will update you all soon. #love," tweeted Mack Maine.
Rapper Birdman also tweeted, "My son is in good spirit..feelin much betta...be home soon.YMCMB"
TMZ's most says Carter's mother is being flown to Los Angeles before any "major decisions" are made regarding her son's critical state. Their latest update says Carter is still critical and is asleep "which is odd, because he just tweeted saying he's OK."
