CLEVELAND -- Police in two cities are investigating smash-and-grab robberies early Tuesday morning.
The first one was at the Garfield Heights GameStop in the City View shopping center shortly after 12:30 a.m.
The mostly glass storefront was shattered.
Police say they recovered a license plate at the scene that is believed to have fallen off the suspect vehicle.
Less than two hours later, Cleveland police were called to a similar attempted robbery at the Family Dollar at E. 93rd Street and Union Avenue.
This time, the vehicle rammed into a metal garage door, damaging the lower left side. Security cameras were seen pointed in the direction of the door.
There is no word on what was stolen from either location.
Police have not said if they believe these two incidents are related.
